Maggie contacted me about doing an extended family session as a Mother's Day gift when she would be in town. It would include her aunt, uncle, cousin, parents and grand parents. We had to pick a location that was somewhat close to Carrolton, Virginia and Portsmouth, Virginia. Together, we decided on Bennett's Creek Park in Suffolk, Virginia! It was actually my first time shooting there and I have to say, I would absolutely photograph there again! There were some nice 'wooded fields' to shoot in, a small dock and of course some fantastic woods coverage. There is even a skatepark if you're into that kind of thing.
Despite the threat of thunder storms all day, it turned out gorgeous outside for their session! The cloud coverage was phenomenal and the weather was light and airy (or... cold in terms of the Floridians lol!).
This family was SO REFRESHING to work with! They went along with my engaging poses and we all laughed throughout the entire session. I know how important this session was and I can't thank them enough for choosing me as their photographer to capture a happy milestone in their lives.
