He's an all American boy, that's for sure. I did this little guy's Virginia Beach Newborn Photos right after the new year. He was my first 2020 client! His mama asked for some Navy-Military newborn photos to boast his dad's career, whom couldn't be at the session because he was deployed at the time, defending our country. With some good red, white and blue while representing those stars and stripes, it was such a success! I know his dad was so proud to see these portraits.
Thank you to him and all of our service members for protecting our country! I prefer not to give away too much private information on my clients, so here is a little bit about my upbringing and early adult years as a Military Dependent. I have lived in the Virginia Beach and Norfolk areas my entire life luckily, while my dad served as a Helicopter Pilot in the United States Army National Guard. He served in Vietnam and in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. He is now retired! I had the honor of having my dad as my own personal helicopter pilot for my wedding ceremony. It was truly humbling!
My husband served 6 years in the United States Navy as an IT. He was stationed on the military bases in both Okinawa Japan and Norfolk Naval Base in Hampton Roads. As an IT, he helped with the earth quake and tsunami disaster in Japan. His dad, my father in law, also served our country as a United State Navy Chief, working as an Aviation Technician stationed throughout various parts of the world. He retired in 2008. Now, my husband's brother is serving in the United States Marine and working hard to overcome big challenges and triumphs ahead.
