It's been a busier than normal winter (#Thankful) here in Norfolk, so I'm due for catching up on some of my favorite sessions here on the blog. There must have been a baby boom for 2020 in Hampton Roads because I've got another baby on my schedule every time I think there's going to be a little break in the schedule . ✨BABY SESSIONS GALORE ✨
Baby Josie here had an in-home Lifestyle Newborn Session in Virginia Beach at the start of the year. She was about 3 weeks old at the time, if my brain is remembering correctly. That's the perfect timeline for an in-home lifestyle session, mostly because any time is the perfect time. As a photographic artist, I was able to document this teeny tiny stage of Josie's life but also this massive chapter for her parents. Becoming new parents is life changing, so it was important to document this stage!
Your home doesn't have to be freshly renovated (like Josie's house, it was gorgeous!), it can be simple and an exact representation of you. The only thing I need for a lifestyle session is windows that let in some light, since that's really one of the best aspects of lifestyle sessions for me is telling your story by using the light to paint it. Lighting creates shadows, highlights, drama and brings out the best little dimples in baby smiles. As long as you have windows, then we are golden (and even if you don't, I've got lighting with me).
